In Aligarh district, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of rain and hailstorm from January 3 to January 5. Although people are getting relief from cold due to strong sunlight during the day, but due to cold winds blowing in the morning and evening, they are not getting relief from the cold. The maximum temperature on January 3 was 22 degrees Celsius, which was one more than normal. The minimum temperature was 7.8 degrees Celsius, which was one less than normal.
On the other hand, even after the weather has cleared, trains are arriving at the station much behind their scheduled time. Lichchavi, Kaifiyat, Unchahar Express trains remained cancelled. Whereas Gomti reached the station late by two hours, North East by two hours, Mahananda by one and a half hour, Kalka by one and a half hour, Seemanchal by one hour. Due to this, passengers are facing a lot of problems.
Alert issued till 5th February
Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue and Officer-in-charge Disaster Meenu Rana has said that an alert has been issued regarding the possibility of rain with thunderstorms in the state till February 5. Currently winds are blowing at a speed of 250-260 kilometers per hour. There is also a possibility of strong gusty winds and hailstorm at the speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in the state on 4th and 5th February. Along with standing crops, there is a possibility of damage to dilapidated buildings, kutcha houses and huts. Stay indoors, keep windows and doors closed. Avoid traveling if possible. Do not tie animals under trees, take shelter in a safe shady place during hailstorm and also tie animals in a safe shady place.
